Some good music on iTunes Radio in channel “Futuradio Sweet”

September 2, 2008 03:12 by rclarkson

So I started listening to some French radio on iTunes and found some good songs.  There are some great sounds on the channel and here are some others that I heard this morning that sounded really good.

Alicia Keys - Like you’ll never see me again
Rufus Wainwright  - Hallelujah
Dido – Here with me
Lenny Kravitz – Stillness of Heart
Fergie – All that I got
Eamon – Fuck it!
Elsa Lunghini –Oser
Scissor Sisters – Laura
Leona Lewis – Better in time
Jason Mraz – I'm yours

If you actual read this post and are in the St. Louis area you need to check out 89.1 FM.  I am surprised by how many people do not even know this radio station.  It's a must.

What is wrong with the world?

August 28, 2008 06:51 by rclarkson

Seriously, WTF, over?  I cannot believe that we are on the brink of a more global disasters with Russia, North Korea, Iran.  As if Darfur, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and India aren’t enough?  Seriously, is there anyone out there who is giving a crap?  I don’t see anyone raising a stink about our response over Georgia and Russia.  Were we that blinded for two weeks by the Olympics?  China is arresting protesters and adjudicating “reeducation” but lets get all teary eyed about the cause for peace?  It seems to me that with the Olympics all we got was the truth about China and an invasion from Georgia into Ossetia?

Are you feeling me? Anybody?  Maybe somebody on Mars?  Maybe the maker of all things?

Looking forward to a week in Baton Rouge

August 27, 2008 11:32 by rclarkson

I am preparing to head out to Baton Rouge next week just in time for Gustav to pummel Louisiana.  I have been wondering if I should reschedule my trip?

At Last: Love is Dangerous

August 25, 2008 21:54 by rclarkson

Here is the song I have been working on with a buddy of mine. I played bass and guitar, he played keyboards.  I mixed the drums with the $25 pc drummer.  It's nothing miraculous but it was fun as hell to do.

 Check it out.  It's 15Mb.

I saw Meet your Meat

August 19, 2008 01:03 by rclarkson

I saw a YouTube video yesterday titled “Meet your Meat”.  I have to say it makes me want to remove meat from my diet.  Recently, thanks to my wife, we have been moving back into a veggie rich diet over the past few months.  I suggest you check it out.  It really makes you wonder about the ecology and ethics involved in our food system.  I wonder if everyone had to clean at least one animal in their life time if this type of stuff would go one.

Flooding back home.

July 28, 2008 14:27 by rclarkson

Here you can see my grandma being interviewed.  I called in the tip last night when I found out that the Army Corps. of Engineers decided that they had to release so much water from Mark Twain Dam that it would create a man made flooding of homes and farm land.  The dam was built, in part, to keep floods from happening.  Maybe, they should have moved a little faster and sooner.

Test blog entry with ScribeFire in FireFox

July 18, 2008 03:01 by rclarkson
I thought I would give this a try and see how it works out. I like the idea that I can blog from the same application without using another editor.

Google Pack is for me

July 18, 2008 02:58 by rclarkson

I looked this up to see what it has available.  What’s nice is that it consolidates some core essential software into one location.  Highly recommend it.

Install WLW when you are not allowed to use Windows Update

June 30, 2008 08:31 by rclarkson

I discovered this work around when I could not install Windows Live Writer.  The company I did work for does not allow the use of Windows Update.  This article allows you to do the work around.  Something about this does not make much sense in terms of security.
